How We Took a Plumbing Business From 183 to 11,300 Organic Clicks in Six Months

With a full-funnel SEO program spanning technical fixes, on-page and semantic content, local SEO, and off-page authority, we grew this plumbing business from 183 to 11,300 organic clicks and 3,400 to 581,000 impressions in six months.

Real Growth · Real Numbers

For the first half of the engagement the plumbing website was held back on every front: technical issues limited indexing, thin content covered little of the niche, the Google Business Profile was underused, and there was almost no link authority behind it. Once we addressed all four pillars together, growth came fast. The next six months brought 11,300 clicks from 581,000 impressions, a 62x rise in clicks and a 170x rise in impressions, from organic search alone.

The Situation

Project Overview

The plumbing business operated in a busy local market but captured almost none of the demand around it. The problem was not one weak area, it was several at once: a technically constrained website, shallow topical coverage, an underused Google Business Profile, and almost no backlink authority. No single fix would have moved it.

We ran a holistic program, repairing the technical foundation, building out on-page and semantically structured content, strengthening local SEO and the map pack, and earning off-page authority through links and citations.

Within six months organic clicks reached 11,300 and impressions passed 581,000.

The Challenge

Weak on Every SEO Pillar

The plumbing website struggled across the board. Crawl and indexing problems kept pages out of Google, a handful of thin pages gave it little topical coverage, the Google Business Profile was barely optimized, and there were almost no quality links pointing to the domain. Because the gaps spanned technical, on-page, local, and off-page SEO, fixing any one alone would not have worked. The business needed a coordinated program that addressed all four together, so it could finally compete for the high-intent local searches that turn into booked calls.

The Execution

How We Drove the Growth

Repaired the Technical Foundation

We resolved crawl and indexing issues, improved site speed and mobile experience, cleaned up the site architecture, and implemented service and local-business schema, so search engines could reliably find, understand, and index every page.

Built Topical Coverage With On-Page and Semantic SEO

We mapped the plumbing niche into a topical map and built service-and-neighborhood pages as a connected, semantically structured network, each optimized around its target entity and search intent to cover the full range of homeowner queries.

Dominated Local Search and the Map Pack

We optimized the Google Business Profile, aligned NAP details across the web, built local citations, and strengthened review signals, so the business surfaced in the local pack and on Maps for “near me” and emergency searches.

Earned Off-Page Authority With Links and Citations

We built relevant local backlinks, earned citations and brand mentions from reputable sources, and grew the domain’s authority, giving Google the off-page trust it needs before ranking a local plumber for competitive terms.
